Terms & Conditions
Last updated: October 24, 2026
These terms explain the basis on which this website may be used and set out general conditions relevant to inquiries and Roamwell Tails services.
1. About these terms
These terms govern the use of the Roamwell Tails website. They also provide general information about inquiries and services. Any specific service agreement, booking terms or written arrangement agreed with a customer will take priority where it deals with the same subject in more detail.
By using this website, visitors agree to use it lawfully and in a way that does not interfere with the website, its security, its content or the rights of other people.
2. Website information
Roamwell Tails aims to keep website information clear and up to date, but content is provided for general information and may be changed without notice. Service descriptions, availability, service areas, timings and other details may depend on individual circumstances and should be confirmed directly before relying on them.
3. Inquiries and bookings
Submitting an inquiry does not by itself guarantee availability or create a confirmed booking. A booking is only confirmed when Roamwell Tails has accepted the requested service and any required arrangements have been agreed.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact information and all information reasonably required to care for their dog safely, including relevant behavior, health, routine, access and emergency information.
4. Suitability and safety
Roamwell Tails may decide that a particular service, group walk, grooming session or care arrangement is not suitable for a dog where there are reasonable concerns about safety, welfare, behavior, health, compatibility or the ability to provide appropriate care.
Owners remain responsible for disclosing information that could materially affect the safety of their dog, other animals, members of the public or anyone providing the service.
5. Dog walking, grooming and sitting
Services are intended to be delivered with reasonable care and skill and with the welfare of the dog as a priority. Routes, group composition, timing, grooming approach, rest breaks and day-to-day care decisions may be adjusted where reasonably necessary for welfare, weather, safety or practical reasons.
Grooming outcomes can vary according to coat condition, temperament, previous grooming experience and the dog's tolerance of the process. A welfare-led approach may mean that a session is adapted, paused or ended rather than forcing a dog through treatment.
6. Collection, access and owner instructions
Where collection, drop-off or access to a customer's property is agreed, the customer is responsible for providing accurate instructions and ensuring that any keys, access codes, parking arrangements or other permissions are lawful and appropriate.
Roamwell Tails should be told promptly about any change that could affect access, collection, return or the safe provision of a service.
7. Cancellations and changes
Customers should provide as much notice as reasonably possible when cancelling or changing a booking. Any specific cancellation period, late-cancellation charge or payment arrangement should be confirmed as part of the booking or service agreement.
Roamwell Tails may need to reschedule or cancel services because of illness, unsafe weather, vehicle problems, emergencies or other circumstances outside reasonable control. Where this happens, reasonable efforts will be made to communicate promptly.
8. Veterinary emergencies
If a dog appears to require urgent veterinary attention while in our care, reasonable steps may be taken to contact the owner or nominated emergency contact and obtain appropriate veterinary assistance. In a genuine emergency, animal welfare may require action before an owner can be reached.
Unless otherwise agreed or required by law, the owner remains responsible for veterinary charges and other costs arising from the dog's existing condition, illness, injury or emergency treatment.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability or customer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Subject to applicable law, Roamwell Tails is not responsible for losses that could not reasonably have been foreseen when an arrangement was made, or for losses caused by inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by a customer, unavoidable third-party events, or circumstances outside reasonable control.
10. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the website design, written content, branding, graphics and other materials on this website are owned by or licensed to Roamwell Tails. They may not be copied, republished, sold or commercially exploited without permission, except where use is permitted by law.
11. Acceptable use
Users must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, introduce malicious code, misuse forms, scrape content in a way that harms the service, impersonate another person, or use the website for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive activity.
12. External services and links
The website may contain links to third-party platforms or services. Those services are operated independently and Roamwell Tails is not responsible for their content, availability or terms.
13. Governing law
These website terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, United States, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Nothing in these terms removes any mandatory legal rights available to customers.
14. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@roamwelltails.com.
